Records of the Philadelphia Committee of the German-American organization Relief for German Children of the Lost Provinces of Germany and Austria (Hilfswerk für die deutschen Kinder in den vom Deutschen Reich und Österreich abgetrennten Provinzen), chaired by the Rev. Fritz O. Evers, from December 1925 to April 1928. Also included are three items of ephemera (ca. 1924) pertaining to the fundraising activities of Robert Treut, representative in the United States of the Verein für das Deutschtum im Ausland. The records document three cultural evenings, featuring a film about Germany and German culture, held at the Metropolitan Opera House, Phila. Includes records of the treasurer, Herman Heyl; and, in 1927 a formal report by Henry Hoffmann, chair of the Ticket Committee, with clippings about the event pasted in. Another author of records is C. R. Walther Thomas, chair of the School Committee (Schulwerbeausschuss) in 1928.
